SPGS is offering internship attachment for interested and dynamic graduates in the fields of forestry (4 positions), IT/GIS (1 position) and Accounts (1 position).
This internship is ideal for candidates looking to gain firsthand experience in commercial forestry, Information Technology and accounts in a dynamic and fast paced environment. The interns will be exposed to cutting edge skill and gain an in-depth understanding of the major challenges in your respective field of interest.
Scope of Tasks
The interns will expect to learn about and undertake the following tasks respective of their field:
a) Forestry:
- Participate in the mapping of SPGS Clients planted areas
- Participate in Research, reporting and numerical analysis in planned project research
- Do other tasked assigned by the responsible officer/supervisor
b) IT/GIS:
- Participate in the maintenance and running of the local network functionality
- Participate in the development of the SPGS Client location maps, database and sms platform for timely feedback to clients.
- Do other tasks assigned by the responsible officer/supervisor
c) Accounts:
- Work with the Finance and Administration team to carry out accounts clerk duties
- Participate in timely asset registry and updating
- Participate in book keeping tasks as maybe required
- Do other tasked assigned by the responsible officer/supervisor
Duration of the internship
The internship will last up to a period of four (4) month starting from 1st June 2013.
