SPGS INSPECTIONS OF SEPT/OCT 2011 PLANTINGS
In the months of February - March 2012, SPGS staff were busy carrying out routine field inspection of growers’ plantations, specifically to check the quality of Sep/Oct 2011 plantings and previous plantings that have not yet received full SPGS grant payments.
During these field visits, SPGS staff give onsite technical advice to growers and measure up areas planted (to SPGS tree planting standards) so the planting grant can be allocated to growers accordingly: with SPGS, you reap what you have sown.
Upon completing this exercise, our finance section embarked right away on making payments and to date (10th April 2012) almost all the growers have received payment for their efforts. Copies of field reports are currently being forwarded to all those visited as well, so if you haven’t received yours yet, please get in touch with us. These field reports spell out corrective actions for improvement thus are very important to the growers.
We wish all tree growers the very best in the upcoming planting season: with proper planning, we are optimistic that you will hit your target.
